Biography

Dr. N.Tejo Prakash is associated with Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, India, since 2003. He received his MS from SV University, India and his PhD from Pondicherry University, India. He worked as post-doctoral visitor at Blaustein Desert Research Institute, Israel and Defence Research and Development Organization, India. He was a Visiting Professor to University of Manchester, UK; Pennsylvania State University, USA; and Ritsumeikan University, Japan. He is also a research advisory board member at Xian Jiaotong University, China.

His research group is presently working in the areas of Selenium biotransformations, bioaccessibility and bioactivity of environmental toxicants. As an offshoot exploration, the group is also exploring biogenesis of selenium nanoparticles and their biological and environmental applications. The group has published more than 75 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
