The Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET) provides a transparent, impartial, accessible, and time-bound mechanism for the redressal of grievances raised by students across all academic programmes, including Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Doctoral (PhD) programmes.
The SGRC addresses grievances relating to admissions, academics, examinations, evaluation and assessment, discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment), ragging, hostel and student services, financial matters including fees and refunds, and any other matter concerning the academic experience, rights, safety, well-being, or welfare of students.

The Committee is committed to ensuring that all student grievances are considered in a fair, objective, confidential, transparent, and timely manner, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the UGC Regulations, 2023 and the policies of the Institute.
Students are encouraged to use the official grievance redressal mechanism for submitting their concerns. Each grievance shall be examined by the appropriate authority and processed in accordance with the prescribed institutional procedure.
